Why would a traditionally published author want to self-publish a book using print on demand?

The short answer is the potential to make more money from royalties and to have complete creative control over their book. Our self-publishing company allows you to retain all rights to their book—you are only granting us permission to publish your book via our print on demand system. A print on demand book has a longer earning window, with the possibility to pay a higher return. That earned income could total far more than a customary first book’s advance, which is more or less in the neighborhood of $2,500 to $5,000.

The traditionally published book is quite unlikely to earn back the advanced royalties paid to the author. This means the author won’t be receiving royalty checks for their 8 to 10% of the book sales—because their book sales have been much lower than projected by the book publishing company's sales representatives. With our print on demand publishing method, your books won’t be back-listed or ever go out of print. Our self-publishing authors get monthly royalty checks, have complete control over their book from cover to cover, and are free to publish without any required in-house editorial modification.
