Our print on demand books are printed with ink (toner) on paper using high-speed digital presses. At the command of the digital press operator, a complete book is printed page-for-page from the book’s digital file stored in the onboard computer of the print on demand system that’s directly linked with the operating system of the digital presses. Our POD books are really printed one copy at a time or as many copies needed to fill orders for the book.
Very quickly. Authors who have visited our facilities watched in total amazement while one of our high-speed digital presses produced their first proof book in about a minute. That’s fast.
Our print on demand system can produce a single copy one day, 20 copies the next day, or on another day print 120 copies of your book to fill individual orders from customers or to complete an order from a bookstore chain or a book distributor. The number of books being ordered determines the quantity of books that will be produced on any given day.
More quickly than you think. Our print on demand high-speed digital printing equipment can print a 300-page book in just about a minute—that is, of course, after a book file is in our print on demand system. So, it only takes a few hours to produce 240 copies and ship the completed order to the bookseller.
Several titles are sent to our digital printers at the same time. The content of each book is different, but because we print hundreds of books daily, they are able to minimize waste, time, and costs. After the press prints the pages for your neighbor’s novel, it simply starts to lay ink on the next piece of paper in a new pattern—that of the words and pictures in your book. Printing one book at a time has suddenly become a snap with our print on demand process.
