For an additional $199, you can take advantage of our partnership with the world's largest distributors, Baker & Taylor and Ingram. Special data related to your book will be entered into their database, making it available for order at stores that acquire books only through distributors. Over 69,000 brick and mortar stores will have access to your book. Your book will be available for sale at online book retailers such as barnesandnobles.com, walmart.com, target.com buy.com, and bam.com (Books A Million) and countless other retailers on the web.
After experiencing the joy and sense of accomplishment that comes from publishing your book, authors often face the difficult task of securing the necessary distribution channels to place their newly self published book in front of potential buyers. This means tireless phone calls, meetings and communications just to try and get your foot in the door with potential distributors. Infinity Publishing has made it simple for self published authors to make their books widely available to buyers through our strategic partnerships with top retailers, bookstores and book distributors.
With the Extended Distribution Package, the finalized version of your book is made in to a special digital file that is sent to Baker & Taylor and to Lightning Source, Ingram's printing company. Once your book is processed by both Baker & Taylor and Lightning Source, the title information is supplied to their book distribution channels and they will fulfill all orders received by them. We are then sent an invoice that generates an in-house sale that pays you your royalty.
While our partnership with the two of the world's largest distributors will greatly increase the distribution potential of your book, books are listed as non-returnable, which may hamper some sales to a few select stores. Most print on demand publishers use Lightning Source exclusively and do not print their own books or have an inventory as Infinity Publishing does. Therefore, they are not able to produce books that are returnable to bookstores without charging you an extra fee. Infinity has a book store return policy for books we print that is unique and that cost you nothing!
